Our History
Kids R Here Learning Academy, located at 1600 W. Upshur Ave. Gladewater, TX was constructed in 1996 specifically as a preschool/daycare center, The Learning Academy. It spans over 4,000 sq. ft. and features a kitchen, 6 separate classroom areas, 5 bathrooms with 6 toilets and sinks, an office, and a therapy room/staff room. The center is licensed to accommodate up to 85 children. Situated along Hwy. 80 frontage, the property extends from Avalon St. to Mustang Ave. It boasts 3 fenced playground areas, including 1 tailored for toddlers with a deck and astro-turf areas completed in Fall 2023. The larger playground area offers multiple structures, ample space for activities, a mixture of grass and concrete, a sand pit, and 2 installed shade structures. In May 2025 Kids R Here Enterprises bought The Learning Academy and has received Texas Rising Star 3 Star Designation, reflecting its commitment to excellence in childcare.

I began my career in early childhood education in May 2019 at Southwood Academy in Henderson. During my time there, I gained experience working with multiple age groups, including serving as a two-year-old teacher, three-year-old teacher, and school-age teacher. I also regularly assisted in other classrooms, allowing me to develop a well-rounded understanding of childcare operations and classroom management across all age levels.
In May 2025, Kids R Here Learning Academy acquired Southwood Academy. I remained with the program and was promoted to Assistant Director. In August 2025, I transferred to the Gladewater location as Assistant Director. After obtaining my Director’s License, I was promoted to Center Director in April 2026, where I now oversee daily operations, staff support, and the overall success of the program.
